Chose Envy because of Corri envys anyone who looks like a normal demon. More importantly she Envy's her other personality. She would kill to be like her or make her go away, quite literally. The shadow represents Anna the other demon in her head, so no one can see her-nor is that how she looks. She's retreating from a worm hole she made, and is trying to antagonize Corri in order to switch places; this is a major factor of Corri's Envy.

Anna: Your pathetic pity party will get you no where. Your going to remain like this forever and there is nothing you can do about.

Corri: That just means you will too.

Anna: well I'm stonger than you and better in in every way, your useless. Heck I don't even care what people think of me. I'm so strong your going to switch places with me right now
